Properties

Manage your property inventory: listings, filters, search, and how the bot uses your properties to answer inquiries.

Properties

Properties are at the heart of Trochai. Every property you register becomes a listing that the WhatsApp bot can recommend, that your clients can view on a public page, and that your team can manage from the platform.

Why properties matter

When a client messages your WhatsApp asking "I'm looking for an apartment in Escazu with 2 bedrooms", the Trochai bot automatically searches your property inventory and responds with matching options. The more complete your properties are, the better the bot's responses will be.

Properties power three key features:

  • WhatsApp bot --- The AI assistant searches your inventory to answer client inquiries about type, location, price, amenities, and more. See How the bot works for details.
  • Public pages --- Every active property generates a public page with a photo gallery, details, and contact button. See Public pages.
  • Internal management --- Your team can filter, search, and manage properties from the main table.

Properties overview

The main properties page shows a table with all properties in your organization. From here you can:

  • Search properties with free text (searches description, location, and slug)
  • Filter by listing type (sale or rent), category, number of bedrooms, status, and price range
  • Sort by columns like price, location, or status
  • Paginate through your inventory with pagination controls
  • Copy the public link of any property with one click
  • Edit any property directly from the table

Available filters

The filter bar lets you combine multiple criteria to find properties quickly:

  • Search --- Free text that searches across multiple fields
  • Listing type --- All, sale, or rent
  • Category --- Apartment, house, land, or commercial
  • Bedrooms --- 1+, 2+, 3+, or 4+
  • Status --- Active, paused, sold, or rented
  • Min and max price --- Numeric price range

Press the Clear filters button to reset all filters.

Property statuses

Each property has a status that controls its visibility and behavior:

StatusVisible on public pageVisible to botUsage
ActiveYesYesProperty available to show and recommend
PausedNoNoTemporarily hidden (e.g., under negotiation)
SoldNoNoSold, kept in history
RentedNoNoRented, kept in history

Only properties with Active status appear on public pages and are recommended by the bot. If you want to temporarily hide a property without deleting it, change its status to Paused.

Property categories

Trochai supports four property categories:

CategoryDescription
ApartmentUnits in residential buildings or condominiums
HouseStandalone homes
LandLots and undeveloped plots
CommercialOffices, retail spaces, warehouses

Listing types

Each property can be listed for sale, rent, or both at the same time. The listing type affects how the bot responds and how the price is displayed on the public page.

How properties feed the bot

When you create or update a property, Trochai automatically generates an "embedding" --- a numerical representation of the property's content (category, location, price, amenities, description). This embedding allows the bot to find relevant properties using semantic search.

For example, if a client asks about "something with a pool near the beach", the bot can find properties that mention amenities like pool or beach_access, even if the client didn't use those exact words.

For the bot to work optimally, fill in as many fields as possible when creating each property, especially location, amenities, and description.
