Agent Profiles
Public agent pages at /a/[slug]: photo, biography, coverage zones, and associated properties.
Agent Profiles
Every agent in your organization can have a public page accessible through a unique URL. This page displays their professional information, the zones where they operate, and their featured properties. It's a personal marketing tool they can share with clients.
Profile URL
An agent's profile URL follows this format:
https://yourorganization.trochai.com/a/[slug]For example, if your organization has the subdomain casatica and the agent has the slug maria-rodriguez, the URL would be:
https://casatica.trochai.com/a/maria-rodriguezThe agent's slug is configured on the personal profile page within Settings. If an agent doesn't have a slug configured, they won't have a public page.
Page content
The agent's public page displays the following information:
Organization header
At the top, the organization's name and logo appear, maintaining brand identity.
Agent photo
The agent's profile photo is displayed in a circular format at a prominent size. If the agent doesn't have a photo uploaded, their name initial is shown in a circle with the brand color.
Name
The agent's full name, displayed as the page's main title.
Biography
If the agent has written a biography, it is displayed below the name. This is free text where the agent can describe their experience, specialization, and work philosophy.
Coverage zones
If the agent has configured coverage zones, they are displayed as individual badges. Zones represent the geographic areas where the agent operates (e.g., "Escazu", "Santa Ana", "Guanacaste").
Featured properties
The page shows up to 6 active properties assigned to the agent, ordered from newest to oldest. Each property is displayed as a card with:
- Cover photo (first photo of the property)
- Price formatted with currency
- Category (apartment, house, etc.)
- Bedrooms and bathrooms
Each card is a link that leads to the property's public page.
If the agent has no assigned properties, a message indicating this is shown.
Share button
In the upper right corner of the page there is a button to share the profile link. Visitors can copy the URL to share it.
Configuring the agent profile
For an agent to have a public page, they must configure their profile with the following information:
Navigate to Settings > Profile (or the agent can access their own profile).
Fill in the profile fields.
Click Save changes.
Profile fields
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Profile photo | No | Agent's image. Shown on their public profile and on assigned properties. |
| Biography | No | Free text describing the agent, their experience, and specialization. |
| Coverage zones | No | Geographic areas where they operate, separated by commas (e.g., "Escazu, Santa Ana, Heredia"). |
| Slug | No | Unique identifier for the public URL. E.g., maria-rodriguez. |
The slug is the key field for enabling the public page. Without a configured slug, the agent won't have a visible public page. The slug must be unique --- if another agent already uses that slug, you will see an error when trying to save.
URL preview
Once the agent configures their slug, the profile page shows a preview of the full public URL, for example: https://casatica.trochai.com/a/maria-rodriguez.
Linking properties to the agent
For an agent's properties to appear on their public profile:
- When creating or editing a property, select the agent in the Listing agent field.
- The property will automatically appear on the agent's profile (as long as it has Active status).
- Up to 6 properties are shown, newest first.
Only properties with Active status appear on the agent's profile. If a property is paused, sold, or rented, it automatically disappears from the profile.
SEO
Agent profile pages are optimized for search engines:
- Title --- Agent name + organization name
- Description --- First 160 characters of the agent's biography
- Canonical URL --- Unique profile URL
- Open Graph --- Preview with agent photo and name when shared on social media
- Twitter Cards ---

From the property page
When an agent is assigned to a property, the property's public page shows a section with:
- The agent's photo
- Their name
- A "Contact agent" link that leads to the agent's public page
This allows property visitors to discover the agent and see their other properties.
Branding
Like property pages, agent profile pages display a footer with Trochai branding. Higher-tier plans allow disabling this branding. See Billing for more details.
Best practices
- Upload a professional photo --- Profiles with photos generate more trust.
- Write a complete biography --- Mention your experience, areas of specialization, and what you're passionate about in real estate.
- Configure coverage zones --- This helps clients know if you operate in their area of interest.
- Use a memorable slug --- Use your name or initials, for example:
juan-perezorjperez. - Assign properties --- Your profile looks better with active properties. Make sure your best properties have the agent assigned.
