Invoices
Trochai automatically generates invoices for every payment processed. You can view your invoice history, download PDFs, and access the billing portal for detailed information directly from Settings > Billing.
Invoice history
At the bottom of the billing page you will find the Invoice History section with a table showing up to the 50 most recent invoices.
Each invoice in the table shows:

| Status | Invoice status (Paid, Draft, or Open) |

Invoice statuses
Invoices can have one of the following statuses:
- Paid -- Payment was successfully processed. This is the most common status.
- Draft -- The invoice has been created but not yet finalized.
- Open -- The invoice was issued but payment has not yet been completed. This may indicate a payment method issue.
Types of invoices
Your history includes invoices for different types of transactions:
Subscriptions
Each billing cycle (monthly or annual) generates an invoice automatically when the recurring charge is processed. These invoices include:
- The plan name (Solo, Pro, Enterprise)
- The billing period covered (start and end dates)
- The total amount, including applicable taxes
- Discounts if you have an active promotional code
Credit packs
Each credit pack purchase generates a separate invoice. These include:
- The pack size purchased (200, 500, or 1,500 messages)
- The amount charged
Plan changes
If you change plans during a billing cycle, prorated charges may appear as additional line items on your subscription invoice.
Downloading invoice PDFs
To download an invoice:
Go to Settings > Billing
Navigate to the billing section and scroll down to the invoices table.
Click "PDF"
In the download column of the invoice you want, click the PDF link. The invoice will open in a new browser tab.
Save the file
From the tab where the PDF opened, use your browser's save option to store the file on your computer.
Invoice PDFs include all necessary information for tax purposes, including your tax identification if you have configured it.
Billing portal
To access more detailed information about your invoices and payments, you can open the billing portal:
Click "Manage billing"
On the billing page, click the Manage billing button next to your current plan.
Explore the portal
The billing portal allows you to:
- View all your invoices with complete details
- Download individual invoices
- View and update your payment method
- Update your billing information (name, address, tax identification)
- View the complete payment history
The billing portal is a secure external page. When you are done, you can return to Trochai by clicking the return link.
Information included in invoices
Invoices include:
- Your organization name -- As it appears on your customer account
- Tax identification -- If configured (cedula juridica or fisica)
- Charge description -- Subscription plan, credit pack, etc.
- Period -- For subscriptions, the start and end dates of the covered period
- Subtotal -- Amount before taxes
- Taxes -- IVA or other applicable taxes
- Discounts -- If you have an active promotional code
- Total -- Total amount charged
- Payment method -- Last 4 digits of the card used
Configuring tax information
To have your invoices include your tax information:
- Click Manage billing to open the billing portal
- Find the tax information or tax identification section
- Add your identification type (e.g., Costa Rica cedula juridica)
- Enter your identification number
Once saved, this information will automatically appear on all future invoices.

FAQ
Where can I see all my invoices?
Your most recent invoices appear in Settings > Billing in the history section. For a complete history, use the billing portal by clicking Manage billing.
Can I get an invoice for a credit pack purchase?
Yes. Each pack purchase automatically generates an invoice available for download in the invoice history.
Do invoices include taxes?
Yes. Applicable taxes (such as IVA) are automatically calculated and included in the invoice. The tax breakdown is visible in the PDF.
Can I request a refund through invoices?
Refunds must be requested directly with our support team at support@trochai.com. It is not possible to process refunds from the billing portal as a customer.
How long are invoices retained?
The complete invoice history is retained for as long as your account is active. You can access invoices from any previous period through the billing portal.
Can I receive invoices by email?
A receipt is automatically sent by email to the address associated with your account when a payment is processed.
